My story
I grew up 2 blocks from the shores of Lake Erie in a suburb of Cleveland Ohio, called Bay Village. It was a great place to be a kid in the 60s. Our lives pretty much revolved around the lake and we spent a lot of time boating in the summer and sledding in the winter. I’m sure I developed my love for the outdoors there. During the Cleveland Years, my interest focused on two things: making music (i.e. playing guitar) and art: i.e. drawing, painting etc. By the time my family headed down south, I knew what I wanted to do…

My family moved to Charlotte, NC in the early 70s and I reluctantly became a “Southerner”. I remember being a yankee in the “South” during the 70s, was er, a challenge. Charlotte has changed a lot since then, and I’ve come to appreciate North Carolina’s diverse and beautiful landscape if not it’s southern heritage. I have lived in Charlotte for over 30 years and call it my home today. My two children were born here and grew up in Charlotte and I would have to say it’s a pretty diverse and progressive culture today.
My career as a graphic designer started in NC and I've managed to have a long diverse run in the many areas of the changing landscape of graphic design: web design, print design, computer based training and video and audio editing. I've always tried to keep learning in an ever changing career path; merging my creative interests in music and art/design to stay current. Looking back, It's been a long crazy adventure. But Life itself is an adventure, right?
